Chatham Turkey Trot 2020

November 21 – 29, 2020

Anywhere

Virtual run/walk

We hope this finds you and your family as well as can be expected in these unique times! We would like to thank you for your participation in previous years’ events. Last year in 2019, despite the cold & rain, we had 1,950 people registered and were able to donate $46,000 to the Lower Cape Outreach Council along with a 26ft truck ¾ filled with groceries.

Because of the ongoing pandemic, we have decided to change the 2020 Chatham Turkey Trot to a virtual event: the DIY Edition. We are excited to offer this option in hopes that many of you will register with us and walk or run 3.1 miles (5k) in the location and time of your choosing, with the company of your family / close friends during the week of Thanksgiving.
Here is the quick version of what this year will look like:

  • Register for the CTT – DIY Edition now until November 29, 2020
  • Purchase 2020 CTT – DIY Edition shirts (optional) October 18 – Nov 1, 2020 (we will email, post to social media & add the link to our website when we get it)
  • Walk or Run 3.1 miles (5k) in your neighborhood with your family / close friends Nov 21 – 29, 2020
  • Post photos of your Chatham Turkey Trot – DIY Edition to social media & tag us using #chathamturkeytrot2020 and @chathamturkeytrot

Here is the more detailed version of what this year will look like:We are teaming up with Kaleidoscope Imprints to offer a unique 2020 Chatham Turkey Trot – DIY Edition shirt for sale! The online store will be open for 2 weeks: October 18 – November 1, 2020, and you will have the option of having your shirts shipped to you or you can pick them up at their facility in Yarmouth in time for your walk or run. We don’t have the website link just yet, but will let you know what it is before 10/18!

The price of registration has been lowered to $10/person for all participants. As always, all of the money raised by the Chatham Turkey Trot is donated to the Lower Cape Outreach Council. Because of the pandemic, they need the donations more than ever. The Chatham Turkey Trot has historically been the LCOC’s largest donor, and we would like to continue to provide this level of support for our community!

Registration can be completed via RunSignUp or you can send in your registrations with a check via snail mail – just check our website for the PDF registration form.

If you have the ability to donate an extra amount to the Lower Cape Outreach Council (since we aren’t collecting groceries this year), you will be given the option to do this during your RunSignUp registration or you could add the amount to your check with the mail-in registrations. We will send donations with the money raised during the CTT to the Lower Cape Outreach Council.

Thank you for your support in previous years, and we hope you will join us virtually for the Chatham Turkey Trot – DIY Edition this year! ~the Chatham Turkey Trot Committee.
