The purpose of CCIF is to serve as a community resource organization in this time of Covid-19-driven need to provide financial assistance upon application by in-need year-round residents of Chatham
Any year-round resident of Chatham is eligible to apply for assistance. Proof of residency is required.
You will be required to submit a government-issued photo identification showing your current Chatham address, along with two bills from different entities verifying the address on your ID.
In addition to establishing proof of year-round residency you will need to submit the CCIF application along with supporting invoices.
The Fund is focusing its assistance efforts on day-to-day expenses, such as utility bills, car payments, medical bills, and housing assistance. At this point the Fund is not delivering assistance relating to food or groceries.
Decisions are typically made within 24 hours of receipt of a completed application.
No. Any assistance granted by the Fund will be paid directly to creditors of the applicant. There will be no money sent directly to an applicant under any circumstances.
The Fund offers assistance at two levels—to individuals (which is capped at $400), and to families (which is capped at $800).
